Passing the Joy Forward
As a child, church donations felt like little miracles—especially when gifts from Operation Christmas Child arrived. I remember the joy in our home as we unwrapped toys, school supplies, and heartfelt letters from strangers who cared. Those moments taught me the power of kindness, hope, and faith.
Now, I want to give that feeling back. I’m working to bring Operation Christmas Child to underserved African communities—so more kids can feel seen, celebrated, and loved, just like I did. And beyond the gift boxes, I want to support their education and invest in their spiritual growth through faith-centered activities—so they not only dream bigger but walk forward with purpose and strength.

Answering the Call
Being a school teacher brought a quiet kind of joy. Each day, surrounded by laughter and questions, I felt a deep love for my students. Their energy was contagious, their hopes vivid, and their resilience unforgettable. They weren’t just learning from me—I was growing because of them.
On Sundays, that same love carried over to the church classroom, where I taught with the same heart. Among my students was the director of the Kids New Life Ministry—someone whose passion for service truly moved me. When he invited me to join the board, I knew I couldn’t resist. It felt less like an offer, and more like a natural next step in the journey I’d already begun.
Where Passion Met Purpose
In my youth, I was always drawn to the laughter and curiosity of children. Whether helping them with schoolwork or organizing games after church, something about their energy lit up something in me. It wasn’t long before I found myself volunteering at kids' camps—places filled with faith, fun, and the kind of joy that stays with you.
During one camp, as I helped lead a group of little ones through a scripture scavenger hunt, the director quietly observed. His words came later, simple but heavy with opportunity: “I see your heart for these kids—I’d love you to join our work at Kids New Life Ministry.”
I didn’t hesitate. That moment felt like purpose meeting passion—and I knew I was right where I belonged.

Roland’s Joyful Gift
Roland had always felt that giving was his way of living. Whether it was food, clothes, or just kind words, he never hesitated to help someone in need. It wasn’t about recognition—it was about the warmth he felt seeing someone smile. One afternoon, as he heard about the project at Kids New Life Ministry. A program focused on nurturing children through faith, education, and love. The moment he learned what we were doing, Roland lit up with excitement.
He didn’t just want to donate—he wanted to be part of it. He met with the team, shared ideas, and even started organizing resources to give the children more: more books, more camp days, more moments of joy. For Roland, giving was never about the gift. It was about the hearts it touched.
